Beginner Cables 101

Ready to add a little twist to your knitting? In this introductory class, you'll dive into the world of cable knitting while working toward a stylish cabled hat.

You'll learn:

• What a cable is and how it's constructed
• How to read both written cable instructions and basic cable charts
• How to confidently knit simple cable stitches using a cable needle
• How to complete a small swatch featuring foundational cable patterns
• How to knit Jason's Cashmere Hat Pattern

After practicing your new skills, you'll cast on for a cozy cabled hat—perfect for chilly weather and a great first cable project!

This class is perfect for adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters looking to expand their skillset. Come join our experienced instructor Gabe for a wonderful learning experience.

Class Schedule: 

Thursdays, February 12th + 19th + 26th. 7-9pm

What you need:  

- US size 6 and 9, 16 inch circulars. 
- Worsted to heavy worsted yarn About 220 yards.
- Cable needle. 
- 5 DPNs in corresponding sizes US 8 or 9.
