Malabrigo Spring KAL 2026 Week 2

Malabrigo Spring KAL – Orienta Shawl

Next Meeting: Sunday, April 12th. 1-3pm

Hope everyone enjoyed our Cast On Party! We had an awesome turn out. We're coming up on the start of Week 2. Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful time knitting through the pattern.

The community has come together to share some tips and tricks to make the KAL go a little smoother.

First off, here is a write up of the lace section through all 3 + repeats.

Lace Section Debunked
I'm not 100% sure of where the community got this pdf, so if anyone has the details, please let me know so I can credit.

Another place we've had some hiccups is when we repeat from the section with two asterisks.

Here's a stitch count for the repeat to help you through it. (Thank you Ariel!)

Striped 1: 103 sts
Lattice: 119 sts
Striped 2: 125 sts
Increase garter: 157 sts
Striped 1: 163 sts
Lattice: 179 sts

If this coming Sunday doesn't work, that's ok, we'll be meeting every Sunday from 1-3pm until the end of the KAL!
